All leadership starts with you

It starts with you

All leadership begins in you, in how you perceive it and those you meet. How you perceive life. Your interpretive filters strongly influence what you think is important and meaningful - what you naturally prioritize. They affect how you get flow and what you can do to get more flow in your life.

All this in turn affects your communication. What you talk about, what you don't talk about, your non-verbal communication, your behavior, your choices. We all communicate naturally from our own perspectives. We can't defend ourselves from it. We are generous and mean well. And because the chances that you have exactly the same interpretative filters as the person you meet are extremely small, we too often get lost when we communicate. The very best intentions unnecessarily often end up in the wrong place. We may reach out to each other, but not in. We do not succeed in inspiring others to take action as we wish, as we need. We perceive the situation differently and communicate based on what we see as the truth. Ineffective and energy-draining personal issues are too often the focus, instead of the substance of the mission you have together.
