In this step, you broaden the perspective to include the context of the whole organisation. Examine how each team's situation relates to the overall organisation and what norms prevail. Assess whether these norms support the desired outcomes for the whole organisation. This provides direction for targeted actions.

It also becomes apparent what complexity the management team is dealing with. Each manager leads their team and has to navigate the team's specific norms within their leadership. Differences in norms between the leaders of the management team and their teams create different conditions for leadership, which is critical to effectively implement decisions.

How does this programme differ from other leadership programmes?
  • Unlike traditional leadership training that often focuses on direct management, this programme emphasises the importance of going beyond and deepening your leadership through deeper awareness and understanding of how to unleash and harness each team member's unique way of perceiving the situation, thinking and operating. Being able to navigate diversity of thought for the good of the company and the whole, is crucial to optimising the power of the team. It's an art, and that skill is the foundation for maximising the potential for both innovation and development. Leadership today needs to go deeper. Optimising Team collaboration and Performance is about being a catalyst for change that is perceived as meaningful, and that makes it worthwhile for everyone to make an effort for the good of the whole.
  • The programme is also very different from traditional training courses as they are usually open and you enrol each individual in programmes where others, from other organisations, can also attend. These programmes have an important value if you want to attend with people you don't work with. The Honor Your Leadership Programme is not for that. This programme is for you, as a team, to be given targeted space for a joint process and to develop together, based on your particular situation, location and circumstances. It is a programme over time, because deepening leadership and achieving high quality takes time. Time for reflection as well as time to try out the new in the everyday life of the organisation.
  • During the Management Team's time on the programme, there is an ongoing 1:1 parallel track with the CEO/CEO and course leader, where there is room to think out loud together, based on what is happening in the programme.
What are the key themes of the programme?

The programme covers themes such as moving from self-awareness to self-awareness, conscious communication strategies, and how to navigate and harness the diversity of thinking, perception and behaviour within a team. Psychological safety, Growth Mindset, prevention for a perceived good working environment, conflict management, conversations to meet for real, Pre-boarding, On-boarding and Off-boarding, are other themes.

The programme has an awareness of individual interpretation filters in the brain and how these affect everything, as a foundation that recurs in all different parts of the programme. These individual filters affect how you perceive both yourself and others and the situation you are in. All this therefore affects your leadership and how your leadership is perceived and received by others. It affects all your different relationships in life, both at work and in private. As these filters strongly influence how a person perceives what the individual sees, hears and experiences, and in that also influence the individual's motivation and sense of meaningfulness. This knowledge is important to have in both strategic and operational leadership. Being able to navigate the diversity of everyone's thinking and perceptions, and what motivates individuals to take responsibility and strive to do their best, is crucial to the success of an organisation in its innovation and/or development processes or in the ongoing journey of change in the face of today's challenges.

Who is the programme for?

The Honor Your Leadership Management Team Programme is ideal for Management Teams, and for teams with a real mandate, who want to transform and elevate their leadership from a leadership that is only about leading people, to a leadership of completely new quality levels where you master the Art of Leading Through People.  The programme is designed for teams with high ambitions for the quality of their leadership and want to understand how you can make a positive difference to the organisation through the people that make up the organisation. The programme is for those who see value in enhancing their leadership skills by mobilising the power of both themselves and their team members at deeper levels for the success of the whole organisation.

How can I best prepare for the programme?

Find out if this exclusive in-depth management team programme is right for you and your team.

Only 1-2 new teams per year are accepted into the programme and those teams that are accepted are prepared to take on the responsibilities of the programme, both at an individual and team level. Budget is set aside and the understanding that development work that leads to lasting results in people takes time and can never be a quick fix.
